IMPORTANT – NEW TIMING ARRANGEMENTS 2018

This year we have modernised the way that we register and collect race results.  We have purchased automatic timing software to give us accurate results and help keep the entry process manageable as the events grow.

When you arrive to pick up your race number or enter you will be given your usual Number but on the back there will be a tag stuck on.
You will need to ensure that you are wearing this for the duration of the event to register your time when you cross the finish line.  If you lose this number/tag you will be disqualified.

Please note: Your race time will start when you cross the blue timing mat at the starting line and finish when you have crossed the mat at the finish. You must PASS OVER the mat at the finish in order for your time to be recorded.

Number of Runners: Last year approximate numbers 300, combined both 10 and 5 miles races, with the usual mix of club and unattached runners, experienced and new. ALL RUNNERS ARE WELCOME!

Proceeds: Will be donated to several Mersea Island Lions Charities.
