Changes to Transfers/Cancellations

Due to the limited resources we have on the run up to races in terms of volunteer time, we are changing some of the ways we handle Transfers and Cancellations to help reduce admin time needed by volunteers.

Cancellations

Nothing will change before the online registration closes.
You can still cancel your entry and receive a full refund.

  • Change – After online entries close, if you choose to cancel your entry you will receive a refund minus a £5 “admin” fee.
    So you will receive £10 refunded.

    • This change is to encourage more entrants to attend the event.
    • With less cancellations the load will be lightened for the volunteers processing them.
    • Will make up for transaction processing fees.
    • The “admin” fee will also apply to any refund requests on the day where the entries were made online.
    • The £5 “admin” fee will still be put to the clubs charitable causes.

Transfers

Nothing will change before the online registration closes.
You can still request a transfer and have it processed.

  • Change – After online entries close, you will no longer be able to transfer your entry.
    • Your request will be processed as a cancellation and the above cancellation changes will be applied.
    • You will receive a refund minus a £5 “admin” fee.
      So you will receive £10 refunded.
    • The runner that you wanted to transfer your entry to will still be able to enter on the day. (Up until places run out)

Changes to All Events From 2018

This year we have modernised the way that we register and collect race results.

We have purchased automatic timing software to give us accurate results and help keep the entry process manageable as the events grow.

When you arrive to pick up your race number or enter you will be given your usual Number but on the back there will be a tag stuck on.

You will need to ensure that you are wearing this for the duration of the event to register your time when you cross the finish line.

If you lose this number/tag you will be disqualified.

 

The registration on the day will be arranged as follows.

Online Registrations

There will be a online registrations table/queue, please join this if you have already registered.

We will take your name and issue your number to you.

On the Day Registration

There will be a separate table/queue for on the day registrations.

You will be given a registration form to fill out and asked to pay.

Once you have paid and the form is filled you will need to go to the IT table to submit your form.

Your details will be entered into the system and a number/tag assigned to you.
