The date for the 2018 5 & 10 Mile Races is BANK HOlIDAY SUNDAY 26 th AUGUST 2018 – NOT 11th August as previously published here. Our apologies for this mistake.

This was attended by over 350 runners from all over the South and East of the Counties. The day was very hot which caused the runners a lot of difficulty this year. However they seemed to have enjoyed it. We the Lions would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who took part and hope to see you again next year 26th August 2018. We would also wish to thank all the Marshal’s  and water station people , who did a wonderful job in directing and keeping the runners safe and watered. The money raised will be used to benifit charities and local causes. Thank You all once again.

PARKING.  on the day is in Willoughby Car Park,  It will be sign posted from Victoria Esplanade. Parking for competitors is free up to 2pm then normal charges apply.

RACE NUMBERS  can be collected at the race station Gazebo’s in the car park. Please also check INFORMATION BOARDS.

Due to high levels of rain fall on the island this week please be extra careful during the race tomorrow. There may be areas that are slippy and still waterlogged.
